The Southern Republican Leadership Confrerence begins today in Memphis and will feature a straw poll for the 2008 presidential nomination. While a number of the potential candidates will be addressing the gathering, Chuck Hagel will not be there. He will, however, be included in the straw poll. Given that Senator Hagel will not be there and since he is not from the southeast, as a number of the other contenders are, we do not expect him to garner high results in this particular poll.
