Today's Omaha World Herald article

This blog was featured today in an article by Jake Thompson at the Omaha World Herald, "Bloggers Urge Hagel to Seek Presidency." If you haven't read the article, it is definitely worth a read.

Charlie-

Congrats on the big story in the Omaha World-Herald about your site. If Hagel announces he's not running for president, does your blog disappear or start pushing him for vice-president?

By the way, how much of your support for Hagel has to do with your shared first name and initials? Are you absolutely sure you're not Hagel's online alter-ego....or perhaps his long-lost East Coast love child?

Either way, keep up the good work.

Thanks for the congrats. I don't have a plan if the Chuck Hagel decides not to run. The blog may well go inactive.

None of my support has to do with the shared name/initials, and I honestly didn't even think about it until another blog mentioned it. I'm also rather certainly I'm not his alter ego or love child, though that is an entertaining suggestion.

Charlie,
I was beginning to suspect that I may actually be his West Coast love child, but he would've had to conceive me when he was seven years old. Chuck strikes me as a quick study and mature beyond his years. It's possible.

Anyway ... Chuck is prominently featured in my most recent YouTube effort "It's the war, stupid." as well as my latest blog post (WIP)of the same name.

Republicans better hope that he runs. After GWB's impending "surge", the election will be about the war and little else. There is exactly one Republican candidate who has been on the right side of this war since the beginning, and that is Hagel, and that makes him the only electable Republican in 2008.

Charlie,
This was a great article, and I think it has opened the eyes of many Nebraskans to this possibility. Keep up the great work!

Say no to Hagel. I wonder how long this will stay on before it is is deleted like any other negative comment.

I'm sorry, but that is just immature. Do you honestly have nothing better to do than go on blogs and post negative things about possible candidates just to see how long it lasts before it is deleted?

Actually, I dont do it just to see how long it takes to be deleted. This blog deleted 3 other posts that were simply anti-Chuck. I am a long-time Nebraska resident and believe that he is just another paid-for politician even though when he was first running, he ran as an "outsider." I think those who believe Chuck to be the great political savior are misguided.

It's fine if you believe that. But all you have done is slander the man without giving any proof. And the fact that you are writing this anonymously is not helping your credibility.
